IGU DGU TGU for windows and wall curtain
Insulating glass (IG), more commonly known as double glazing (or double-pane, and increasingly triple glazing pane), consists of two or three glass window panes separated by a vacuum or gas filled space to reduce heat transfer across a part of the building envelope.
Insulating glass units (or “IG units”) improve thermal performance by providing a thermal break – two or more lites separated by a sealed air space. This enables the glass to meet two very different requirements – keeping heat in during colder weather and keeping heat out during warmer weather.
Features of IGU:
Energy saving: with right configuration, insulated glass could be 2-5 times over float glass in heat insulation.
Noise reduction: a typical insulated glass reduces 30 DB than float glass, it will work much better if inert gas is filled.
Anti-frosted: with good anti-frosting property, insulated glass will not frost until the temperature goes to 40 degree below zero.
Optical performance: the visible light transmission is 10-80%, and reflectivity is 10-40%.
Specification of insulated glass:
